If you already packed away your white pants into the dark abyss called your attack or basement… you probably shouldn’t have done that. For the past couple years winter whites have been creeping up on us whispering “that Labor Day rule is absolutely insane”. Well it is. And the October issue of InStyle inspired me to forget the rule all together, throw caution to the wind and try, gasp!, white pants in October.
This actually has been one of my favorite fall outfits so far. The trick? Keeping everything light in color (or just all white), layering, mixing textures, and adding winter accessories. I layered two different material sweaters and all of the pieces I wore were in the same color family (pale pink, beige, white). I also added the scarf and boots to keep it as unsummery as possible. Overall, I was happy with the look and got great compliments from people!
