I’ve gotten a lot of questions recently about why I haven’t been updating.  But I am! This is a reminder that I am now blogging with WordPress instead of Tumblr for the time being.  The response I got made me feel kind of bad when I first announced this so here’s the deal:  Follow me on WordPress and if you are still loving my Tumblr format I will go back to posting on both.  Just give me feedback and I will work it out for y’all.

From my Twitter timeline to my online class’ discussion board girls (and some admitting guys) are just as, and even more in love with Bravo’s new hit.  In honor of our newest guilty pleasure I decided to make a few posts about achieving the beauty looks of our favorite SUR girls. First, of course, is Princess Stassi.

Look what’s springing up for Spring 2013 from Tarte! The theme seems to be naturally fresh beauty.  The new BB primer can be worn under foundation to prime the skin, provide skin care benefits, and boost the coverage of the foundation or it can be worn alone.  Personally, alone I feel the BB primer already provides flawless coverage.  It also leaves the skin feeling supple and fresh.  The new cheek and lip stain in Awakening is a needed addition to the previous stains.  Most of the more natural stain colors have a very peachy or pink undertone while Awakening has more of a fuchsia tone to it.  It layers smoothly over the BB primer and when patted slightly onto the cheekbones, creates a perfect everyday look.  To top off the new items Energy is an addition to the lip crayons.  It is unlike any other lip color Tarte has because it customizes itself to your lips.  Using the pH balance of your lips the product adjusts the color to give you your own perfect “just bitten” look. It still provides the awesome moisturizing effects of  the rest of the lip collection, making it perfect for the colder months. The collection can be purchased at Ulta or from Tarte’s website.

This week’s nails. I thought they looked kind of galaxy-ish even though they’re supposed to look like marble. What can I say, I’m creative.

My life is one big beauty adventure! The other day at work I played with some hair chalk and gave myself some funky ends. I had seen this look over the summer on Lauren Conrad and wanted to try it. For those of us with already damaged ends, permanently dying them then having to bleach the color out is not the best way to go. I opted for this more temporary option to achieve the look. These chalks are insanely easy to use. Coat your hair with a styling product (I used a frizz control cream), then rub the chalk where you want the color, and last lock in your new do with hair spray. Although the method is simple it is a bit messy so make sure you use a towel around your neck and wrap your fingers in tissue. The chalks come in 5 different colors at stores currently and they work on dark hair as well. I experimented on my friend at work who has very dark hair and the colors showed up just as beautifully pigmented.

The soap smells literally amazing and the sugar scrub makes your skin feel like heaven when you’re done exfoliating. And it’s a perfect prep for a spray tan! Highly recommend! I can’t wait to try the rest of the products she got me.
