Who needs flowers for Valentine’s Day when you can have NARS? Their Spring collection debuts a range of bright and beautiful hues that will steal the color spotlight from any bouquet. Boyfriends and husbands take note.

As a college girl on a budget, you all know I’m always trying to find less expensive drugstore products to compliment my more expensive cosmetics. Elf has always been one of those go-to quality for less drugstore brands but I personally hadn’t experimented with it too much. That had to change. Yesterday at Target, I picked up these two products to try and replace ones I was running out of at home.
The elf tinted moisturizer is a really nice everyday alternative to my Naked Skin foundation that I’ve been using. The tinted moisturizer gives a great coverage which rivals that of a regular light/medium coverage foundation. It goes on smooth and leaves my skin naturally dewy but not overly shiny. The only downside, the Naked Skin has more skin enriching ingredients and feels more moisturizing. Although I really like this product, I’m not replacing my Naked Skin permanently. I’m going to use the elf for everyday and Naked Skin for a slightly more flawless finish on special occasions. But for $3 can I really complain?
The brow powder/wax is really similar to my ones from Benefit and NYX. I thought I’d be disappointed with no clear wax but it really wasn’t needed. It stays on well and even the brush inside is well made. Again, for $3 this is definitely a save over splurge.

With a new year upon us, it seems everyone is vowing to eat a clean diet and exercise their booties off! While people are fanatic about what they are putting into their bodies, why aren’t they making resolutions about what they are putting on it? The skin is the largest organ on the human body and the visible one. Taking care of it is just as important as taking care of yourself internally. The newest launch by Juice Beauty makes taking care of your skin way more simple in this new year.
The Juice Beauty CC cream is a brand new launch, part of the company’s Stem Cellular Repair line. For those of you who aren’t familiar with what a CC cream is, let me break it down. CC’s are color or complexion correcting balms. They are a little bit more heavy duty than the popular BB creams and focus on more serious skincare concerns such as anti aging and dark spots. Juice’s take on this new trend is by far my favorite one that I’ve sampled, not to mention it is all natural. It provides 12 different skincare benefits that seem just to good to be true. But believe me, it actually does everything it says it’s going to!
Taken straight from juicebeauty.com, the CC cream,
• “Repairs damage
• Evens skin tone & texture
• Firms & improves elasticity
• Reduces fine lines & wrinkles
• Creates a radiant, glowing complexion
• Balances skin tone
• Rich in antioxidants
• Protects with chemical free SPF 30 _· Mineral tinted coverage
• Ultimate moisturizer
• Skin perfecting color
• Great for all skin types”

New Smashbox gloss and lipstick colors. Bright pinks and reds are reminding us that Valentine’s day is right around the corner!

This week’s nails. I thought they looked kind of galaxy-ish even though they’re supposed to look like marble. What can I say, I’m creative.

Just reminding everyone, the new Urban Decay Beauty Balm launches today on urbandecay.com. For those of you who aren’t familiar with beauty balms they are a fusion of skincare and makeup that hydrate, prime, perfect, and protect. I’m already loving the Naked foundation so I can’t wait to try this lighter weight addition. I feel like it will be perfect for summer!

My awesome little sister got me a ton of Lush products for Christmas. I’m falling just as much in love with them as she is! The soap smells literally amazing and the sugar scrub makes your skin feel like heaven when you’re done exfoliating. And it’s a perfect prep for a spray tan! Highly recommend! I can’t wait to try the rest of the products she got me.
We all know I love me some Gossip Girl. And I love me some beauty.
xoxo enjoy

THE LONG AWAITED: Naked Basics Palette
As promised, my review of the new Naked Basics Palette by Urban Decay. I have a problem, where no matter what palette UD comes out with I convince myself I need to buy I. Honestly, I did everything in my power to spare my dwindling holiday funds and convince myself otherwise. It was impossible.
The textures and consistency of the shadows are consistent with the usual, great UD quality; the colors are rich and smooth. Not only is it convenient to have all the essentials for blending all together in a smaller-than-iPhone sized case, but these colors can do a lot more. They do wonders stand alone with out being paired with more shimmery shadows. Some of my favorite looks with it have been super contouring the eye and adding a pop of fun colored liner (try UD’s Binge 24/7 pencil, you’ll thank me.)
Overall, I recommend this palette to everyone and anyone. It is flattering on any skin tone and every age. Even if you have one, or both of the previous Naked Palettes this one is still a necessity. From what I’ve heard they aren’t a permanent fixture in stores so buy up while you can. We all remember what happened to the original Naked Palette before it became permanent!

Sasha (sashajmua), our amazing Urban Decay rep, did up my eyes in the new Naked Basics. I am kind of even more obsessed than I was before. I can’t wait to play with all of these shades more. Oh my gawd.

Totally in love with this Julep polish that Sasha brought me. Its a chic winter color and wears really well! Check plus on this one.
